PRISMA for Living Systematic Reviews (PRISMA-LSR)
The PRISMA extension for living systematic reviews (PRISMA-LSR) was published in 2024. It was developed as an “add-on” to the PRISMA 2020 statement, i.e. provides only items and elements that should be used in addition to the PRISMA 2020 statement. The PRISMA-LSR extension was designed primarily for LSRs that evaluate the effects of health interventions but is also applicable to LSRs with other objectives. Most of the guidance is also applicable to standard updates of any type of systematic review and to LSR protocols.
